Don Roberts, The Early Years

This photo was made from an original print that was approximately 2.5 inched by 4.0 inches.   Thank Bill Gates, Mr. Epson (scanner) and Corel Photo Album for the pretty darn good results.  My hunch is that this is a photo of second grade students since we have a different photo that says "3rd Grade."  It may even be First Grade.   Perhaps you will know more about this photo and will be willing to share your knowledge.

It was Don Roberts that found this treasure and agreed to share it with all Classmates who have an interest.

It takes time to turn these treasures into the best possible photo to satisfy today's discriminating viewer.   You can be very helpful by identifying your former Classmates and sharing that identity with us.   We will post the wonderful photos as we get them cleaned up and tweaked.  We will try to get some of these photos posted today.   If not today, perhaps tomorrow.

I recognize “Gail Gilson” (1st row center with the band aid on her knee) and “Patty Prindle” (second row, 5th dark headed girl from the left) and that must be Roosevelt Elementary School.  Judy BOSWELL Underwood.   Is that Connie Sue Hancock on the left side of Patty Prindle?

This is what was written on the back of the above photo in barely legible writing  (be patient, I will post it as soon as I process it).

After many, many tries, this is the best that I could do.   There are some names at the top that I am unable to make out even with a magnifying glass.   I was unable to even read what you see here before I tried a number of different approaches.
